Vivek S, hails from Mumbai. Since childhood, he has observed the complexities of waste management in various cities. These observations led him to recognise the impact of waste on climate change, public health, and our food systems. This realisation led him to adopt the principles of minimalism, Vivek likes to call himself an 'imperfect sustainability practitioner'.

After completing his Master’s degree at Azim Premji University, Vivek joined SWMRT as a Project Coordinator. He is passionate about working in the space of sustainable waste management, circular economy, behavioural change in waste management, and the inclusion of informal waste workers.
