Anand Yadawad is a commerce graduate from Karnataka University. His professional background is diverse, having worked for Mentorware, Tarang, Sify eLearning, SunGard, Mapunity Ballytech and Navya Disha, Biome, and as the COO of CreditAccess India Foundation.

As a political and social activist, Anand has participated in a padayatra from Mandur to Bengaluru to protest against garbage dumping in Mandur, organise the Save Lokayukta campaign and campaigned for 24 Loksatta candidates in the 2013 State Assembly elections. Anand was the city coordinator for Karnataka in the India Against Corruption movement.
He co-founded the Alahalli Lake & Neighbourhood Development Trust and played a prominent role in restoring the lake.

Anand's interests include water, solid & liquid waste management, sustainable farming, current affairs, and cinema.
